About Go TEFL

Go TEFL was born from real experience. Ishbel, one of our founders, started her teaching journey just like many of our students do — with a desire to travel, connect with others, and do something meaningful. After teaching English in Thailand and seeing first-hand how powerful and life-changing this work can be, she returned home with a clear mission. She wanted to create a course that made starting easier, clearer, and more supportive for others taking that same leap.

Behind the scenes, Andrew Goldie is the technical co-founder who brings the platform to life. With a strong background in online tech, he makes sure the course runs smoothly and stays user-friendly from start to finish. Together, Ishbel and Andrew built Go TEFL to be more than just a certificate. It’s a course backed by real people who care, designed to help you step into teaching with confidence and support at every stage.
